Gemini CLI
Gemini CLI: turn off usage statistics and telemetry
How do I disable Gemini CLI telemetry?
Set privacy.usageStatisticsEnabled to false in ~/.gemini/settings.json to stop usage statistics, and keep telemetry.enabled false (it can also be set with GEMINI_TELEMETRY_ENABLED).
Settings
~/.gemini/settings.json
{
"privacy": { "usageStatisticsEnabled": false },
"telemetry": { "enabled": false }
}Project settings in .gemini/settings.json override user settings, and environment variables and command-line flags override both.
