- Open protocol created by Zed Industries.
- Sources
- Project siteSpecification
What to know
- JSON-RPC over stdio for local agents; remote agents over HTTP or WebSocket are a work in progress.

- Clients include Zed, JetBrains IDEs and Cursor.
When to use it
When you want to keep your editor and swap the agent behind it, or ship an agent that works in every ACP editor without per-editor plugins.
