Add MCP servers to Cursor

Copy the command for the server you want, run it, and sign in if the server asks. Every server on this page is the vendor's official server from the MCP registry.

Setup in three steps

Run the command for a server (or paste the config into .cursor/mcp.json (project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (global)). For example, GitHub:

Cursor prompts you to sign in the first time a remote OAuth server is used.
Ask for something the server can do, like “list my open pull requests”, and approve the tool call.

· Remote servers take a url; local servers take command and args.
· Values can reference ${env:NAME} so secrets stay out of the file.
