Authentication

Browser Use Cloud API key sent as Authorization: Bearer <key>. The legacy x-browser-use-api-key header still works. Keys come from cloud.browser-use.com/settings.

Options

  • run_session accepts keep_alive, model, output_schema, profile_id, workspace_id and proxy_country.
  • proxy_country defaults to us; set it to null to disable the proxy.
  • stop_session with "task" stops only the task; "session" destroys the sandbox.
  • Claude Desktop setup uses npx -y mcp-remote as a stdio-to-HTTP bridge (needs Node.js).

Good to know

  • The MCP server runs API V3 sessions, not V4 runs.
  • tools/list returns the full list of supported model values.
  • Use list_browser_profiles plus profile_id for authenticated tasks.
