Authentication

OAuth at https://mcp.make.com (scopes are chosen when you connect), or a Make MCP token in the URL (https://<MAKE_ZONE>/mcp/u/<MCP_TOKEN>) or as Authorization: Bearer <MCP_TOKEN> on https://<MAKE_ZONE>/mcp, where MAKE_ZONE is your organization's zone such as eu2.make.com.

Options

  • Scenario run tools run active, on-demand scenarios and are available on all plans
  • Management tools view and modify scenarios, connections, webhooks, data stores, teams and organizations
  • With an MCP token you can control which scenarios are exposed as tools
  • ?maxToolNameLength=<32 to 160> changes the 56-character default tool name limit
  • Make-hosted server over stateless Streamable HTTP

Good to know

  • Management tools require a paid Make plan
  • Scenario run tools time out after 25 s with OAuth or 40 s with an MCP token; management tools after 30 s or 60 s. The scenario keeps running up to 40 minutes and returns an executionId (scenarios:read lets the client fetch the output)
  • Tool names are not listed in the docs; they come from your scenarios and the client's tools/list
  • Good scenario descriptions and defined inputs and outputs make tool calls more reliable
