Options
- Built into Visual Studio 2026: enable nuget in the Copilot Chat tools list.
- Elsewhere, run dnx NuGet.Mcp.Server --source https://api.nuget.org/v3/index.json --yes over stdio.
- Works with the GitHub Copilot coding agent through the repo MCP config plus a copilot-setup-steps workflow that installs .NET 10.
Good to know
- Needs the .NET 10 SDK or later, which ships the dnx command.
- Visual Studio and VS Code configs use servers, while the Copilot coding agent uses mcpServers.
- The Copilot setup job must be named copilot-setup-steps exactly.
